Antique black leather bound edition of a parallel Bible, printed in 1885. The left hand column contains the Bible as printed in 1611, and the right contains the same text but as revised in 1885.
"The Parallel Bible
The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, translated out of the original tongues:
being the authorised version arranged in parallel columns with the revised version.
Printed for the universities of Oxford and Cambridge at the University Press, 1885."
Book is in very good condition for its age. Pages are firm in the binding. Corners are quite bent and rubbed. Pages are edged in gilt. It looks as if someone has removed a bookplate from the inside front cover.
Measures 10 1/2" x 8" x 2 1/2". Weighs about 10 lbs.
