Large brass gimbaled Dirigo compass in finger-jointed wooden box made by Eugene M. Sherman of Seattle, WA. Probably dates to around the 1920s as the company was in business from 1910-1944. 

Compass and box are in excellent condition. Fluid levels are great and compass is accurate.

Measures (in box) 5.5" tall, 9" wide, 9" deep. Weighs about 10 lbs.
