Beautiful sterling silver carved pendant featuring an orca or killer whale, by local Nisga'a artist Sandi McKay.

Sandi Mckay is a Nisga'a and Dene' artist born into a family of artists; his mother, Chris Mills is a Dene' artist known for her bead-work and handmade painted drums. Sandi's father is master carver Henry Mckay, a Nisga'a artist born and raised in Prince Rupert, known for his knife-smithing, jewelry-making,and wood carving.

Sandi began carving jewelry at the young age of 15, and has carried on his work doing many unique custom piece through the years. You can find his work in the biggest galleries in Vancouver and throughout the province in many jewelry stores. Sandi continues to make some of the most unique Nisga'a art in gold, silver, and copper of his generation.
